Hockessin UMC Clothes Closet

Serving Our Community with Compassion for 35+ Years

For over 35 years, the Hockessin United Methodist Church Clothes Closet has provided free, quality clothing and household items to individuals and families in the greater Hockessin community. Our mission is to serve our neighbors with dignity, care, and Christ-centered compassion.

How the Clothes Closet Works

Clients may visit once a month to fill a provided bag with clothing—completely free of charge.

We accept donations of gently used clothing and household goods five days a week. All donations are tax-deductible (receipts available upon request).

Thanks to the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, the Clothes Closet continues to make a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors.
